Affiliate Disclosure
The calculator is free. Some links on the site pay us a commission. Here's the full picture.
Last Updated: January 2026Our Relationship With Businesses We Recommend
This tool is free. No subscription, no login, no paywall. That's not changing.
To cover the costs of keeping it running, we've joined affiliate programs with companies in the time tracking and payroll space. You've probably heard of most of them: Clockify, Harvest, Toggl, Gusto, OnTheClock, Connecteam, Hubstaff. If you click one of our links and end up buying a plan or starting a free trial, the company pays us a small commission. You pay exactly the same price you'd pay going directly to their site. Not a penny more.
Whether a tool has an affiliate deal with us doesn't change what we say about it. We link to free tools that pay us nothing if they're the better option for what someone needs. And we won't write a positive recommendation for something just because the commission looks attractive. That would be a short-sighted way to run a resource people actually depend on for payroll work.
How We Choose What to Recommend
Before anything gets recommended here, we look at five things: whether it actually exports decimal time (not every tool handles this cleanly), how well it connects with payroll software, what the mobile experience is like, whether the pricing is fair relative to what you get, and what real users say after using it for a while.
That's the list. Affiliate status isn't on it. Some of the tools we point people to most often don't pay us a thing. We link to them because they're useful. We've never taken money for a positive review and we don't sell placement in our content dressed up as a recommendation.
FTC Compliance
Federal Trade Commission Guidelines
This disclosure complies with 16 CFR Part 255 — the FTC's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (revised July 2023).
The FTC requires websites to tell you clearly when there's a financial relationship with companies they write about. That rule lives in 16 CFR Part 255, which was updated in July 2023 to cover modern affiliate and influencer arrangements.
We meet that requirement with the disclosure notice at the top of every page on this site, and with this page linked in the footer. Any time we link to something we might earn from, that connection is disclosed. Simple as that.
Questions?
